Demand for custom built homes continues to be strong in Central Oregon.
Pictured is one of our homes under construction in Sisters country. More small acreage lots are available on this street in Squaw Creek Canyon Estates, many with spectacular views of the mountains.
The pictured home was just getting close to completion of the roof framing when we were hit by the winter storms which slowed us down for a week or so. Note the timberwork with concealed knife plate connections. Thanks to Ross Built for the framing, they do a particularly nice job on the beam-work. Also thanks to AM1 for the siding and the T&G ceiling carpentry pictured. Both trades had to wade through almost three feet of snow at one point. We just recently finished the sheetrock and will now be getting into the final phases where all the finishes are installed and ready the home for occupancy.
Another home under construction, just a few miles down the road but on 40 acres, has some similarities in design to the pictured home, but the beam work is exposed metal plates instead of concealed knife plates. We are just finishing framing there and have started the rough plumbing. On the same site we will start framing their detached RV garage with heated space above next week, about the same time we start digging the foundation for a new home in Bend.
We have a couple of prospective clients whose homes are going through design right now, and welcome inquires for new custom home projects. Please contact Tom whether you already have land and are looking for a builder to design and build a new home on your property, if you already have plans for a new home and are interviewing builders, or are just starting the process by looking for property.
